GHD announces new Operations Director in the UK

One of the world’s leading engineering, environmental and advisory services companies, GHD, has named Nathan Woods as Operations Director for its Chester office.

Nathan takes over the role from Craig Stockton, who continues in his role as Managing Director – UK.

A chartered civil engineer, Nathan has been with the business for nearly 20 years designing and managing major multi-faceted engineering projects in the water, waste and energy markets.

Nathan brings a wealth of experience and his collaboration with clients has been a cornerstone in the development of GHD's reputation for innovation, client service, safety and quality. He is a recognised industry leader in the design of industrial paving and has assisted in the development of Concrete Society design standards, including a landmark technical report on industrial floors.

With 300 people in the UK, GHD employs more than 80 people at Thornton Science Park, in Chester. Significantly GHD was lead designer for Resource Recovery Solutions’ Derby and Derbyshire Waste Treatment Facility. The team continues to work on capital programmes in the regulated water and nuclear sectors, where innovative design has supported life extensions at many important facilities.
